1. Why isn't my site in the first spot in the search engines?

No one can guarantee you top listings in any search engines, despite the claims of companies trying to sell these services. The best way to place well is through a well-constructed site with lots of information. The more competitors there are for your product or service, the harder it will be to rank high. Only through content and construction can you hope to get to the top.

2. Why don't my graphics look good on the web?

If you are not familiar with the acronym GIGO, it means "garbage in, garbage out". If you start out with bad graphics through unskilled scanning or reproduction methods you will end up with less than optimal graphics. If your graphics look bad, your site will also look unprofessional. If you are displaying photos on your site, you may wish to invest in a digital camera as prices are low and quality is high—especially for web use.

3. How often should I update?

The short answer is often. Providing fresh content encourages search engines to visit your site more often. It also provide potential clients a reason to return to your site.

4. What kind of files can I submit?

Documents accepted for building your site are: pdf, Word Documents, Word Perfect Documents, text files or rtf files. Graphics should never be submitted in bitmap form. If pictures need to be resized, you will need to send the highest resolution possible to end up with an acceptable quality after resizing.

8. What Will My E-Mail Address Be and How Will I Access It?

You can setup multiple emails all with your domain name. (sales@yourcompany.com, info@yourcompany.com, etc.) Every Hosting Account gets multiple E-Mail addresses. We can also do mail-forwarding which will allow an email address such as sales@yourcompany.com to be forwarded to your present mailbox. This is good for people who do not wish to manage multiple mailboxes. There are many programs available to manage mail. We have found Microsoft Outlook Express to be easy to set up and mangage multiple boxes. You will also be able to access your mail through a web browser from any computer.

Interactivity is good for both the viewer and the company. A poll or questionaire may be good for gaining marketing information from the viewers. A discussion forum is good for potential clients to gain more information about your services. There are many other areas which can be added such as a calendar of events, etc.
